TTP EMEA 2019 - Weekend Workshops

There will be two two-day courses on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April at the Delta Hotel. You may choose one of these courses when booking your place at the conference.

Please note that these courses are hands-on and you will need to bring with you a laptop with at least 16GB of memory and at least 250GB of free disk space. VMware Player or Workstation will also need to be installed.


Course 1

OES 2018 in the 21st Century - 2 days

The OES course, originally designed by David Shepherd from Micro Focus Consulting, has the benefit of all his experience from the Sky Television OES 2018 Project and others.  Delivered by Tim Heywood.

The Filr course, on the afternoon of the second day is bases around the impossible – how to change from a small to a large clustered deployment.  Subject to time there will also be a Filr3.4 to 4.0 upgrade process. Delivered by Robin Redgrave.

Day 1

  1. Outline of virtual network
  2. Upgrade of existing OES2015 server to OES2018
  3. Build of new OES2018 cluster node.
  4. Upgrade of OES2015 cluster node
  5. Configuration of NSSAD
  6. Migration to NSS64

Day 2


  1. Configuration of Cloud Integrated Storage
  2. Enterprise Deployment guidelines for CIS
  3. CIFS features with OES2018 SP3
  1. Small Filr 3.4 system to large clustered deployment migration
  2. Filr 3.4 to 4.0 Upgrade



Course 2

Access Manager - 2 days

This course will be delivered by Gautham CA from the Micro Focus India Development Centre
